Global Issues Network (GIN)The Global Issues Network is a service group that centers around Jean-François Rischard’s Twenty Global Issues. We aim to fulfil our local commitments to tackle these global issues one step at a time, with the aspiration that we can, and will, make a global difference.
Animal Welfare clubOur mission is to improve the animal welfare of animals in Indonesia, and to support the organization Jakarta Animal Aid Network.

Project Earth (& Bye Bye Plastic Bags)Project Earth is an initiative to create a cleaner, more sustainable environment within the school and around communities in Jakarta. It continually strives to achieve a safer surrounding for not just the students, but those affected by a damaged environment. The club always tries to think outside of the comfort zone of luxurious lifestyles to help improve the earth and maintain its well being.
Urban Gardening ClubOur mission is to create useful and beautiful green spaces in an urban environment. We examine ways to maximize spaces through vertical & raised boxed gardening- and seek to improve the quality of the produce by using organic principles.

Marine Conservation ClubOur mission is to educate our members about threats to marine conservation as well as to take direct action to protect local marine ecosystems. We are also responsible for maintaining the Biorock at Macan Island and this requires regular trips.
Orangutan Aid ClubOur mission to educate JIS students and the local community about the urgent need to support the survival of oranganutans and their critically endangered habitats. The club also organsies the annual Kalimantan Service trip where we visit the orangutans in their natural environment..
